About Us

CrazyDragon Technologies was founded in 2008 as a technology think tank by award-winning technology analyst and graphic designer Phillip A. Hedayatnia, with the help of accredited programmer Clive Chan. That same year, CrazyDragon's first product was released, entitled Blowfish+. The text software, designed for use on Windows and Unix-based platforms, was an easy-to-use open-source encryption program which provided military-grade security. This established CrazyDragon's presence in the open-source community, and led to partnerships with the Linux Foundation, Novell Inc., and Canonical Ltd., frontrunners in the open-source software industry.

CrazyDragon's second product was released in the fall of 2008, called "The CrazyDragon OS." Later renamed to DragonOS, DragonOS 1.0 was a success, with over 2,000 copies distributed. DragonOS 2 Symphony, released in June of 2009, scored similarly to the previous release. DragonOS 3, released in February of 2010, was a massive boost to the CrazyDragon userbase, with over 12,000 copies downloaded and massive critical acclaim by many of the most influential technology analysts in the United States since its release. DragonOS 4, the latest stable release which was launched on April 24, 2011, recieved even more critical acclaim, especially for the unique GNOME 3 desktop environment and innovative accessibility features. DragonOS 5 Ultimatum is scheduled for release sometime during mid 2012.

Due to the success of DragonOS, CrazyDragon CTO Clive Chan launched a plan to split the company into smaller entities, which would work together as a whole. The entities are: CrazyDragon Consumer Product Division, The DragonOS Foundation, CrazyDragon Corporate, CrazyDragon Records, and CrazyDragon Studios.

MyWebSpace, a personal website service from CrazyDragon, was founded recently after the acquisition of TechTechnologies USA, a tech support and web design agency. MyWebSpace provides tech support, web design, and graphic design services for reasonable prices, marketed to middle-class American families. The division has a 100% customer approval rating thus far, and is in beta. Powered by the revolutionary MyWebSpace engine, and running on DragonOS servers located in Cleveland, OH, MyWebSpace aims to revolutionize the realm of personal websites.

The DragonOS Foundation is an independent foundation devoted to developing DragonOS, with over 800,000 contributions weekly and over 1 million contributors. Phillip Hedayatnia, the President and Founder of CrazyDragon Technologies, is currently the project director, while Jonathan Salley is the Director of Development.

Currently, the CrazyDragon Team maintains over 30 open-source projects, including Blowfish+, DragonOS, MyKiosk, and the MyWebSpace Engine.
